The story of Trollbeads
Imagine a snow-covered Copenhagen in 1976. An extremely talented and hard-working goldsmith, Nielsen, lived with his family in a small cellar apartment on the outskirts of the Danish capital. Year after year, he tried to come up with a unique piece of jewelry that he could put under the tree for his beloved wife…
… And that's when the TROLLBEADS were born…
The necklace and bracelet with a removable carabiner became the basis for threading an infinite number of pendants and beads. Her wife's glowing eyes were the reward for the most original piece of jewelry she had ever seen. He could change with her moods and adjust to her clothes. Even then, the first silver pendants inspired by Scandinavian mythology were created and new ones were added with every opportunity.
The whole family and a range of original materials such as Sterling silver and 18kt gradually became involved in the production of other Trollbeads. gold was also colored by hand-made Murano glass, precious stones, pearls and diamonds. Women around the world have fallen in love with this "jewelry puzzle" and to date, more than 1,100 components have been created. With each season, new collections are created and older ones are withdrawn from production every year, which also adds collector exclusivity to TROLLBEADS pendants.
